open stage set online

celtic music radio bradcast my set from the danny kyle open stage at celtic connections, but i see that they have this online to listen again. you can access it here. funny thing is though, they've pulled across the first 2 paragraphs of my long and rambling bio, which makes me sound like... lord knows. time for a nice tight press-style paragraph or two!

new year, new gigs

after a nice break from playing live there are some gigs coming up, starting with the Celtic Connections Open Stage on 16th January. i'm also touring [the first of many tours] with the wonderful Caroline Kemp at the end of February. We will be touring again in April/May and beyond, if you'd like to put us on for a gig [in the UK for now!] please get in touch - fiona.keenan@googlemail.com

new sound project

well this wee site has been given a spitshine or two so do visit the various pages again, it will be worth it! i'm not gigging now until the tour gets put together for 2010, it's nice to concentrate on the writing and rest the weary tendons for a while.

i've started a small sound project which has a home online here. i've been learning my way around a soldering iron and making mics and stompboxes with plans for other sound generating devices, but thought it should have a separate home to my songs. it's something to get my teeth into between tuning changes.

new songs and things

i've been at work trying to keep the online stuff up-to-date with what my guitar is doing. if you head to the download page, there's a set of home recorded demos you can download of some works in progress, and also the live recording of another set at cellar 35 in aberdeen.
